Hello Community School Coordinators and Principals,

The Community-Based Learning Student Survey window is now open. It asks students in Grades K-12 what they are interested in, curious about, and want to explore beyond the classroom, and it gives you their answers in their own words.

Two things that help. First, choose your survey day as soon as students are back and put it on the calendar rather than leaving it open-ended. Second, plan for adult support in the younger grades. Third and fourth graders do best when a teacher reads the questions aloud, or when the survey is split across two sittings but use your best judgement.

We will send a participation update midway through the window so you can see where your school stands with time to adjust, and we will share results after the window closes.

Do you have Questions? Join the CBL Student Survey Q&A tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, at 1:30 p.m. The calendar invitation with the Zoom link is going out alongside this email, and we will send a short recap afterward so nothing is lost if you cannot attend.

You can also reach out to Dr. Isabel Morales, Instructional Advisor ([email protected]) or Dr. Josh Klarin, Administrative Coordinator ([email protected]) anytime.

Thank you for elevating student voice in your Community School.
