Sub Committee - The Alliance For Opportunity

Purpose: The Alliance for Opportunity (AFO) is a collaborative committee dedicated to enhancing comprehensive support for students and families across the LAUSD Community Schools Initiative. We review Assets and Needs Assessment data from school sites to identify key trends and develop targeted solutions. By leveraging essential resources, services, and partnerships, and engaging with local government agencies and community organizations, we ensure that support is effectively tailored to meet the specific needs of our schools. Convened by UNITE-LA, the AFO meets quarterly and reports to the Community Schools Steering Committee as needed.
